This Women’s Day, I’ve found myself thinking less about history and more about gratitude. During Covid, I was retrenched while completing my MPhil in Leadership Coaching. It was an uncertain season, filled with questions about the future, finances and identity.
At the same time, two remarkable women, Lesley Bam (MPhil) and Madri Milner, were walking similar journeys. Together we formed a small support group with one simple promise: Because We Care.
A sunflower became our symbol of hope. We coached one another, challenged one another, celebrated every milestone and quietly carried each other through completing our Master’s degrees and building our coaching businesses.
Looking back, I know I would not be the coach I am today without their wisdom, encouragement and generosity.
That experience shaped something I now witness every day in my coaching practice.
Women are remarkably resilient. We lead organisations, build businesses, raise families and support communities. Yet many of us still carry leadership alone. Sometimes what we need most isn’t another course or another answer—we need a trusted thinking partner.
This Women’s Month, I’d like to pay that gift forward.
Throughout August, I’m offering six executive coaching sessions for the investment of five for women leaders who book before 31 August 2026.
If you’re navigating a new leadership role, leading through change, rebuilding confidence or simply longing for uninterrupted time to think strategically, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
Because when one woman grows in confidence, she strengthens her family, her team, her organisation and her community.
Happy South African Women’s Day.
Warmly,
