Pruning for Growth

Walking through a vineyard at pruning time can feel unsettling. The branches are cut back, leaving behind only what is essential. Yet this isn’t an act of destruction believe it or not it’s an act of trust. Trust that, in the right season, new shoots will appear, stronger and more fruitful than before.

Life, too, calls us into this rhythm. There are times when we need to decide what to prune. Perhaps it’s an old habit, a draining commitment, or an internal belief that no longer serves us. Letting go is rarely easy, even when it’s the healthiest thing to do. It can feel uncomfortable, even painful. But it creates space for something new to grow.

Coaching offers a supportive space for this process. It allows us to step back, reflect, and consider what is worth holding onto and what might need to be released. With clarity and perspective, we can begin to channel our energy into the areas that matter most.

Growth doesn’t always happen instantly. It unfolds quietly, in its season, once the ground has been prepared. And when it does, it carries the promise of fruitfulness.

Sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is to make space for the new.

Warmly,
